Maturation of A Stoner - Ashley Wilson
Ashley Wilson is a mental health & cannabis advocate and the brand manager for Plantivia.
How does a stoner look?
Like anything we do for the first time, we begin with a level of immaturity. When you start to drive you are first inexperienced until you spend time on the road. Anyone new to anything at whatever age is bound to making mistakes and hopefully learning from them. So again, what does a stoner look like? Are they young, lazy, sloppy, do they smell like weed or are they a clean cut, neat freak with a high profile job?
I don’t believe the image of a stoner is monolithic.
To explore this, I shot with self proclaimed stoners in this series asking each guest how and why they started smoking and how it has changed if at all today.
All shots taken on Mamiya 645 80mm lens / Portra 400 Sony A7 - 24-70 Sigma Art Lens
Maturation of A Stoner - Hawaii Mike

When Your Photos Become Murals
My good friend and amazing artist Vince Ballentine has been painting murals all over Brooklyn since before we met. He’s been commissioned to create larger-than-life pieces from LA and NY to his hometown of Cleveland. So when he reached out to use my photos as a reference for a new piece I was more than honored. In this episode, I caught up with Vince to snap some shots of him in action.
